WIN tickets to see soul legend Gladys Knight
TWO lucky readers are in with a chance of winning tickets to see infamous soul diva Gladys Knight in a special Sheffield show at Sheffield Arena next month.
Glady's is being joined by special guest Tito Jackson at the gig on Tuesday 13th October as part of her Farewell UK Tour.
With an incredible career spanning nearly 50 years it's a must see show for fans.
Gladys began her music career in the 1950s when she performed alongside her brother, sister and cousins in The Pips.
Nine years later the group took on a new name – Gladys Knight And The Pips – and with this they secured their first big hit in America with a cover version of Every Beat Of My Heart.
They received international recognition when they signed up to the world famous Motown record label.
Their hit single Midnight Train To Georgia remains one of the most famous Motown records to date and was honoured as one of The Greatest Songs Of All Time by Rolling Stone magazine.
But after almost three decades together the band split and Gladys went onto become a global superstar.
Career highlights included recording the official theme song to the James Bond movie License To Kill, winning eleven Grammy awards and receiving a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame.
Gladys has had numerous hits such as Help Me Make It Through The Night, Superwoman, That's What Friends Are For and You're The Best Thing (That Ever Happened To Me).
Singer songwriter and founding member of the Jackson Five, Tito Jackson will join Gladys Knight on her UK tour.
Tito will take to the stage with his 14-piece band – The Brothers – to exclusively perform a string of hit songs penned by both Michael Jackson and the Jackson Five. He will also be performing brand new tracks from his forthcoming album set for global release this year.
