Lindrick Players' new show
THE FICKLE nature of fame and the lives of four friends come under the spotlight with the October production from the Lindrick Players.
My Own Show, by Lesley Bruce, follows the story of four women, three of whom are old friends, having attended the same school and formed a little gang.
Fay, Jude and Gillian are joined by Caroline ‘Bollards’ Pollard – who was something of an outcast at school.
And the gang of three’s unkindly treatment towards her is coming home to roost.
“As the story begins, Fay, host of the TV chat show Frankly Fay, is worried that her career is on the wane,” said publicity officer Sarah Hemsall. “And her private life isn't up to much either.”
“She is mortified to be reunited, on the set of This Is Your Life, with Caroline Pollard, who she's been avoiding for years. But Caroline's bereavement gives her an idea that could rescue her ratings.”
Lindrick Players will perform My Own Show at Carlton Village Hall, on Long Lane in Carlton from Thursday 15th to Saturday 17th October at 7.30.
Pre-booked tickets are 5.50 for adults and 4 concessions (6.50 and 4.50 on the door). To find out more or order, call 01909 730341.
