Bonfire and Halloween events

THE promise of toasty winter nights is stoking up as Bonfire Night approaches once again this year – and there are plenty of events to keep the whole family amused.

Worksop Rugby Club's Bonfire Night promises to be bigger and better than ever this year, and this week's competition should help the popular event go with a brilliant bang.

We have teamed up with organisers to offer ten lucky readers a family ticket admitting two adults and up to the children for the Stubbing Lane event on Saturday 7th November.

Event spokesman Dave Bennett said visitors will be treated to a spectacular firework display and bonfire to guarantee an exciting and toasty evening.

"It's the biggest community event in Bassetlaw and we hope this year's brings even more enjoyment for a lot of people. We have held the prices again this year, which we hope will help people to have a good night," he said.

Adding to the evening's entertainment will be Tuby's Fairground, Dolby's Hog Roast, a licensed bar and a roadshow from Trax FM and Trust AM.

Gates open at 5pm and the bonfire will be lit at 7.30pm - ready for the firework display at 8pm. Tickets are priced 2, children 1 and under fives go free.
