A WEST End cast brings Hello Dolly! to the Sheffield Lyceum between Monday 31st March and Saturday 5th April.
Starring Anita Dobson, the show follows the adventures of Dolly Levi, America's most beloved match-maker.
Dolly takes us on a race around New York to find a match for Horace Vandergelder, played by David McAlister, who was also seen in the 2007 tour of Annie in the Lyceum Theatre.
When Dolly starts to fancy millionaire Vandergelder for herself, mayhem ensues and the search turns into a wild goose chase.
The characters also come across Cornelius Hack, played by Darren Day, as well as hat shop owner Irene Molloy, played by Louise English.
Performed by a live orchestra, Hello Dolly! features a list of songs including Put On Your Sunday Clothes, Ribbons Down My Back, Hello,Dolly! and It Only Takes A Moment.
Winner of 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, the show also received a New York Drama Critics Circle Award for a Musical, two Outer Critics Circle Awards and a Drama Desk Award.
The story was made into a film in 1969 featuring Barbra Streisand, which was nominated for seven Academy Awards.
