Comedy night Final Friday is coming to the Worksop Regal on Friday 27th June and promises to top last month's triumphant show.
The June line-up comprises comedians Charlie Chuck and Mike Newall who will aim to deliver an evening of hilarity as they are compered by regular master of ceremonies, Anthony J. Brown.
”Following last month’s triumphant show, where every audience member left split-of-side and declaring that it was the best Final Friday night thus far, I've had to pull out the big guns to keep the quality control bar up in the comedic clouds,” said Anthony.
”Thankfully, in cahoots with the intoxicatingly laid back Mancunian wit Mike Newall, the magnificent and hysterically absurd stand-up legend that is Charlie Chuck will be on hand to leave the punters rolling in the metaphorical aisles.”
Bona fide comedy legend Charlie Chuck is fresh from a sell-out show at the Glasgow Comedy Festival where his array of jaw-droppingly bizarre but hilarious characters such as One Eyed Dog, Cakey Pig and Donkey received rave reviews.
He counts among his fan base singer Tori Amos and Beatles legend Paul McCartney who booked him to play at his birthday party.
The Scotsman described him as a ‘masterpiece of oddity - just make sure you get there before the ambulance arrives’, while the Sunday Times urged comedy fans to see him, dubbing him as’ unpredictable, painfully funny and like most geniuses, probably dangerous’.
Taking the stage next will be Mike Newall who, according to The Scotsman, oozes charisma and is Liam Gallagher with wit - and a vocabulary.
Critics say his infectiously relaxed demeanour and distinctive and inventive material touches upon varied topics from fitness centres and Heartbeat to football commentary and his own dyslexia.
Doors for the show open at 7pm and tickets are priced £8 and £6 concessions. Call the box office on 01909 474458 for further information.
