AWARD-winning show Hello, Dolly! has returned to the stage after 20 years to give audiences another chance to see the hit musical comedy.
Starring Anita Dobson and Darren Day, the production comes to the Nottingham Theatre Royal from Tuesday 20th to Saturday 24th May.
“And what do you do for a living, Mrs. Levi?” asks Ambrose Kemper. “Some people paint, some sew...I meddle,” replies Dolly.
And off we go on a whirlwind race around New York at the turn of the 20th century, as we follow the adventures of America’s most beloved matchmaker.
Hello, Dolly! is full of memorable songs including Put On Your Sunday Clothes, Ribbons Down My Back, Before the Parade Passes By, Hello, Dolly!, It Only Takes a Moment and So Long, Dearie.
The musical was made into a film in 1969 featuring Barbra Streisand and was nominated for seven Academy Awards.
Now it’s back where it belongs, with a company of over forty and a live orchestra.
Evening performances begin at 7.30pm, Wednesday and Thursday matinees are at 2pm and the Saturday matinee begins at 2.30pm
Tickets are priced at £13-£32.50 and are available by calling the box office on 0115 989 5555 or by visiting www.royalcentre-nottingham.co.uk
